Stand Up Saturday with Pete Lee

A night full of laughs this past Saturday thanks to CPR!! Pete Lee put on a hilarious performance joking about Wisconsin’s love for cheese and Tinder! Happy to have a few residents come out with me to enjoy the night!

 Something a lot of people fail to realize is just how healthy for you laughter can be! It might not be the most straightforward work out in that sense but here are a few of the health benefits of laughing:

  1. Laughter relaxes the whole body: laughing relieves physical tension and stress, leaving muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after the fact.
  2. Laughter burns calories: a study showed that laughing for 10-15 minutes can burn up to 40 calories. So considering this stand up show went for an hour and half, that’s 240-360 calories! Over the course of a year you can lose upwards of 5lbs just from laughing!
  3. Laughter protects the heart: laughing improves the function of blood vessels and helps increase blood flow. This benefit can help fight against heart attacks and other cardiovascular issues.
