Inclusive Language

Inclusive Language

“But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought”

-George Orwell

The words we use can have a huge impact on others. We may not intend to offend and hurt others, but you do  not know someone’s story and background by first glance. Check out this bulletin board by the stairwell to gain perspective on the impact of phrases such as “that’s so gay” “illegal aliens” “looks like a terrorist” “that’s so ghetto” and more.

Lets do our best to avoid these phrases and make our wing community and campus a more inclusive environment for everyone! 🙂
